1 January 2027 for corporate income tax payers and 1 July 2027 for all other obligated taxpayers, under Real Decreto-ley 15/2025, published in the BOE on 3 December 2025. Mandatory business-to-business e-invoicing is a separate obligation with a timetable of its own: its regulation was approved as Real Decreto 238/2026 and the clock runs from the entry into force of the ministerial order developing the public invoicing platform. Complying with Verifactu does not comply with that one. Always confirm both with your accountant before planning.

Almost never by adapting the ERP. The usual route is for the invoice to be issued by software that already complies — Holded, Sage, A3 or whatever your accountant uses — with the ERP passing it orders, customers and credit notes through its API or, if it has none, through a middle layer. First we review where each invoice is born today, then we integrate, and finally we switch off the old issuing points. The review costs €1,900 and the integration starts at €4,500, excluding VAT.

If it issues invoices or receipts, yes — unless your company is on the SII or taxed in the Basque Country or Navarre, which have their own systems. The regulation reaches any system that invoices, whether bought software, an online store or a custom build. The cleanest route is usually for the store to stop invoicing and pass each order to the invoicing software, which already complies and is kept up to date by its maker. Then only one place issues invoices, and that is the one that has to comply.

Yes, and it is one of the ones we meet most, alongside Sage and A3. As off-the-shelf software, adapting it to Verifactu is its maker’s obligation, not yours. What is left on your side is connecting it to the store, the ERP and the warehouse so invoices reach it on their own — and that is what we do. If your accountant works with a different package, we use that one.

No, and it is rarely the sensible answer. An off-the-shelf invoicing package already complies because its vendor is obliged to keep it that way, and neither we nor you want that responsibility. What we do is move the issuing of invoices onto that package and fit it into your flow, which is where the real work is.

Usually whichever your accountant is going to use. Holded, Sage and A3 are the ones we meet most often. We do not resell licences or take a commission for recommending one — we charge for integrating it, so it matters little to us which it is, provided it complies and has an API.

It is the most common case and it is half the work. You have to decide which of the two stops issuing, redirect what it issued to the new software, and check no old point is left quietly invoicing. Switching off properly matters as much as switching on.
