An Eolas Labs discovery is a two-week, fixed-price engagement that ends in a firm quote and a technical plan you could hand to any other studio. If we build it, the fee is credited back against the project in full.

Because a discovery billed by the hour rewards dragging it out. At the price of roughly five days of senior consulting, the incentive is to finish with a useful answer — and since the fee is credited back if we build, we gain nothing by selling you a bigger project than you need.

What if you do not end up building it?
You keep everything: architecture, plan, quote and risks, in a document any other team can execute. It is yours either way.
Is the fixed quote really fixed?
Yes. The figure the discovery produces is what we invoice, unless you change the scope. That is exactly why we spend two weeks defining it first.
How soon can you start?
Usually two to three weeks from confirmation. If you have a hard deadline, say so in your first message.
